Treasures

February 11, 2026
Hello Friends! Introducing my newest series: Treasures! These paintings are an ode to my love of interesting objects. All of the objects represented are found, inherited, or thrifted. They live on trinket shelves, inside tiny drawers, window ledges...
Urban Ore [Berkeley's go to recycling/reuse eco park] recently put out a call to artists and I responded immediately that i'd love to participate! Their program AIR (Artist In Residence) provides artists an opportunity to display artwork in a high traffic area of the eco park- right by the entrance/exit. I created this series of paintings along with an "I Spy" inspired riddle. Take a look and see if you can find the treasures from the hints!
It’s so fitting that this is technically my first “solo show.” I wouldn’t have it any other way. Urban ore is a special place and when I first moved back to the Bay Area I was really missing the Bakersfield antique malls and one of a kind spots like RAD. This place has the same energy as RAD- the organized chaos, the dusty smell, the endless treasures to be found... my happy place for sure.
I’m accepting commisions by the way! If you’re interested in a treasure portrait, here’s the information below. I’d love to capture some of your favorite collections - just email me at ebsigel@gmail.com :)

A big thank you to those who purchased my F*** ICE stickers. I donated a dollar of each sticker to the National Day Laborer Organizing Network who’s mission states: “NDLON aspires to live in a world of diverse communities where day laborers live with full rights and responsibilities in an environment of mutual respect, peace, harmony and justice”

I collected a total of $57 to donate to this wonderful organization! I still have stickers available, and will continue to support this cause with proceeds from the stickers.
